About MyraMark

Where did MyraMark come from?

When Myra was little, she loved making crafts: cards, pillows, bracelets, just about anything (and still does!). She started a business where she made and sold clothes, pillow, and dolls; unfortunately, it never left the catalogue stage (yes, there was a hand-drawn catalogue of options). However, she made cards throughout her life and signed the back with Myramark (because in the mind of an elementary student, copyright infringement was of the utmost concern).

It wasn't until Myra was trying to come up with a domain name for Myra & Mark's wedding website that she realized the irony behind this logo. And now you have MyraMark. :) Follow us on Facebook!

Where did Myrarah come from?

It's similar sounding to Mirror and Myra-ra, which were two childhood nicknames that were just fun for friends to say.

But truthfully, Myrarah has been Myra's go-to user name since high school when, after reading Watership Down, a very political book about a rabbit fantasy land, she discovered the end "Lapine language" in which the suffix, -rah, designates you as prince or chief. So, Myrarah, boasts her as rabbit royalty.

About Mark

I'm Mark.  Myra would describe my best qualities as being goofy and sincere.

I love Myra, golf, medicine, traveling, sports (Spurs, Braves, Rangers, Cowboys, and TCU), frisbee, fantasy football, being Mr. Fix-It, playing kickball, singing, the craps table, and enjoying life.

I'm currently in medical school studying day after day to become the best doctor I can.  I love helping people, so being a doctor is right for me.  I worked as a scribe in the ER for five years, and while I'd love to return to the excitement of Emergency Medicine, I'm keeping my options while in clinical years!

How the two became one (couple, comprised of two people).

Mark and Myra met in the Student Government Association at TCU on the Student Relations committee (haha, yeah, funny, we know...). He was a Science and Engineering Rep and she was a Fine Arts Rep. It's actually a pretty good representation of their relationship, the right brain and left brain, the stability and ingenuity, the boring and the exciting. They balance each other out. Myra pushes Mark to be adventurous and Mark pushes Myra to do it within budget. Ah, young love.
